The Junior Church at the Center is committed to assisting our children to learn and use the principles of Science of Mind. We have 4 classes: pre-school/kindergarten for children 2 through kindergarten, primary for grades 1-3, Tweens for grades 4-6, and Teens for grades 7-12. This year's preschool and primary curriculum includes practical application of lessons from The SOM Textbook, metaphysical interpretation of passages from the Bible, appropriate crafts and other projects.

Parents can reinforce the learning by continuing the learning at home. The lessons include a treatment that is to be used every week. This treatment includes 5 steps and it is the third step that changes each week. It is a simple way for our children to begin to learn and understand treatment. Parents can ask about the lesson -- each student is given a copy of the material and the "homework" is usually to practice the virtue of the week and to think about how it works. For example, following the lesson on joy, students were asked to practice joy -- to remember that joy is a choice. When parents reinforce the lesson at home, the learning is more than doubled.

Junior Church requires 2 or 3 volunteers to work one hour per month. Benefits include a free CD of the sermon that week and 30% off tuition for SOM 100 and 200 classes. Additional benefits include insight into how Science of Mind works and the chance to relate to some of the coolest kids on the planet.
